Historic Mount Vernon Calls Upon Local Wood to Harvest 170 Year Old Pecan Tree

The George Washington era tree is 65-70 in diameter. Local Wood will be sawing and drying the lumber into structural timbers for use at Mount Vernon and for other projects to benefit the foundation. Local Wood is also removing, drying and sawing two large oak trees on site for reuse and repurposing to benefit the historic property.
